Strategic Plan

HCA’s  Strategic Plan 2009 / 2011 was developed in consultation with Board, staff and stakeholders.

It includes four strategic initiatives:

  • HCA Public Profile
  • Leadership in Health Policy
  • Community and Consumer Engagement
  • A Sustainable Organisation

In January 2010, HCA’s Board and staff reviewed the organisation’s achievements against the Strategic Plan 2009 / 2011, the outcome of which was an Annual Corporate Plan 2010.

The Corporate Plan provided a clear framework for the activities of the Secretariat, in particular, promoting the consumer voice and building consumer networks to support and enhance consumer involvement in the health reform processes at a State and National level, and has strengthened HCA’s role as the health consumer peak in SA.

HCA’s  Annual Business Plan 2011 encapsulates the organisation’s strategic priorities for the year ending 31 December 2011.
