At a non professional level Keith has been involved in a wide range of community activities including local government councillor, various school councils, community organisations and National President of Alzheimer’s Australia. In recognition of Keith's service to the community to this point of time he was subsequently awarded an Order of Australia in Year 2000. Keith has had experience of Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Treasurer roles at both a professional and consumer level.

- As a healthcare professional for over 30 years Keith Kranz has passionately pursued the central role that he believes individuals, and their carers, have in contributing to and maintaining their own health and wellbeing. As a relinquished carer of parents who spent their remaining years with diminished capacity, both physically and mentally, Keith has found that this experience has both hardened his resolve to improve access and equity, and ensure that the health system works better and more holistically.
