Paul Laris has over 40 years’ experience as a health care provider, health services manager, program evaluator, policy developer and citizen advocate. Since 2006 he has worked as a community member of the South Australian Medical Board and was a community member of the inaugural Australian Medical Board from 2010 to 2016. 

For the past six years, he has been a member of the Policy Council of the SA Council of Social Services (SACOSS). He is also very active in his local community and is the current President of the Western Adelaide Coastal Residents Association (WACRA). From 1999 to 2012 he worked as an independent evaluation consultant, researching and reporting on a wide range of health promotion, health care and environmental education programs.
