Introduction to Consumer Advocacy Training
Are you thinking about becoming a consumer advocate or would you like to refresh your knowledge?
Our Introduction to Consumer Advocacy Training session will build your knowledge about consumer centred care, consumer engagement in health and how it improves the safety and quality of health services, a well as some practical tips for effective consumer advocacy.
The sessions are interactive and based on adult-learning principles. Participants receive reference materials and a certificate of attendance.

Professional Certificate in Consumer Engagement
HCA has a partnership with the International Centre for Allied Health Evidence (iCAHE) at the University of SA. A key achievement of this partnership has been the co-design and delivery of the Professional Certificate in Consumer Engagement. Health professionals, consumers representatives and researchers worked together to inform the objectives, content, delivery and assessment of the two courses that make up this Professional Certificate. Participants develop competence and confidence to apply evidence-informed consumer engagement practice in the areas of health research, governance, policy, services and care.
