Monday the 16 July was the first day for consumers to opt out for My Health Record. This year you will get a My Health Record unless you opt out during the three-month period from 16 July to 15 November 2018. My Health Record is an online summary of your key health information. When you have a My Health Record, your health information can be viewed securely online, from anywhere, at any time – even if you move or travel interstate. You can access your health information from any computer or device that’s connected to the internet. You can find out more about My Health Record and the details for opting out here.

Donna Sedgman from the Australian Digital Health Agency will be joining the Health Consumers NSW for a Facebook Live session on Thursday 19 July at 2:30pm. The session will look at the benefits and risks of My Health Record. You can find out more details about the event here.
