A ‘Practical Guide for Working with Carers of People with a Mental Illness’ has been created by a consortium of experts in mental health care, including Helping Minds, Mind Australia, Private Mental Health Consumer Carer Network (Australia), Mental Health Australia and Mental Health Carers ARAFMI Australia. The main aim of the guide is to provide practical assistance for providers to work with carers in a meaningful, mutually beneficial way. A partnership approach has been adopted with the aim to enhance outcomes for consumers

Changes are being made to the My Health Record system. These are taking effect at different times between November 2015 and July 2016. More detailed fact sheets on the changes will be will be published on in coming weeks.

The National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards were designed to drive improvements in safety and quality in health care across Australia.
